I am a career-changing, self-taught front end developer passionate about building clean, simple, and efficient web-interfaces. I am focused on the fundamentals of web development and am always prepared to learn, adapt, and evolve.

past

I was a teacher for 15 years. I earned two masters degrees and wrote an EFL conversation book. During my time as a teacher, I taught students of all ages in pretty much every environment from the Westside of Chicago to South Korea.

present

Most recently, I was a Front-End Engineer intern at Foxtrot Market in Chicago. My work included building components for the component library and creating the in-store wifi page and the cafe-pickup e-commerce page. I worked with React.js, Next.js, and styled-components.

future

My mantra is 'improve a little every day'. By following this process, I will work my way to becoming a senior developer. One day, I'd like to mentor new web developers. My path to web development as well as my background in education & curriculum make me uniquely qualified for this role.
